Front & Side Yard Renovation

We simplified, brightened up the space, created good exposure to a quiet street and retained their favourite shrubs.

Bricks were pulled up to build a water pump house, creating an untidy look.

We reused as many of the original bricks as possible and brought in new bricks (the light gray) to complete the job.

This original-condition apartment needed old sidewalks removed and trees and grass spruced up.

The courtyard also needed to be regraded to deal with drainage work and to prepare for rebar and concrete.

After concrete was poured, we planted new grass, hedging and plants.

Rural Land Clearing, Grading & Prepping with Addition of Driveway
Before
View out to the street, (about 200 feet away). This land needed to be cleared and graded for a gravel driveway.

Shows an increase in lawn area of about 5,000 square feet, the area is graded and prepped for grass. We used fallen trees as a border to separate the new lawn area from the forest.

Overgrown Front Yard with Steep Slope
Before
The house had an old cracked and windy staircase.

Beside the staircase the yard had a steep slope filled with large overgrown shrubs.

We straightened out the staircase.

We built two retaining walls to create 3 useful and level areas.

Two garden areas with lattice and planted vines created an informal privacy barrier from the neighbours.

The third area is the patio with drainage redone up against the house.
Beautifying a Front Yard
Before
The front yard had a dying lawn with clay beneath and gardens that grew into the lawn.

We created concrete garden borders with new soil for the lawn and gardens.

We addressed a shady and poorly draining area with river rock and a sump for drainage.
